Jason Rambo

Jason and I met in 1993 while we were both young and working in the construction industry. We found out we both loved 4x4 trucks and worked many diligent hours fixing/upgrading those while creating many cherished memories and stories to boot. Later on, Jason’s father was instrumental at introducing me to Sporting Clays. I watched him head out with his buddies often to shoot for fun and/or compete. At the time I thought it was very similar to someone who golfs with their friend group, but instead using shotguns! Needless to say I was immediately hooked after my first experience. We both shot for several years thereafter and then we both took a break as we got involved in different aspects of our lives. However, in 2015 we picked up shooting again and then started shooting registered targets in 2017. Jason was always the “idea guy” and later asked if I’d be interested in starting a podcast about sporting clays. It sounded like fun and a way to be more involved with the sport – so I said “Why not?” Here we are several years later…

One thing about Jason is that when he gets interested in something, he fully commits. I watched him race mud trucks, and then motocross and with each endeavor he poured his heart and soul into being the absolute best he could at what he was doing. The same can be said with sporting clays. Jason wants to know everybody and everything in the sport and strives to keep learning and improving with every opportunity he gets. His love of the sport often has him traveling quite a bit and working long hours for the podcast as well as his related business. I think he’s one of the lucky ones who finally found what he loves doing and can do it as a career. I have no doubt Jason will continue to grow and improve the podcast even as I have had to take a step back to deal with other important issues in my life. I’m proud of what we built together and hope it will carry on for a very long time.
